Darryl Egdes

Managing Director
Darryl joined The Pro Shop in 1980, having matriculated at Pretoria Boys High and completed his military service. In 1984 he became a partner in The Pro Shop, which was sold to Interleisure in 1987. Darryl bought the business back from Interleisure in 1993, and set about changing the face of the South African golf industry with related investments in golf practice facilities (The World of Golf and Golf Villages), playing entities (playmoregolf and lastminutegolf) as well as golf instruction. (Gary Player Golf Experience). Darryl became joint Managing Director of MoreGolf in 2001. Many new business developments and acquisitions ensued, most notably strategic investments into cycling through Cycle Lab. Darryl has led the diversification of the rebranded MoreCorp Group to include ecommerce and rewards initiatives. Darryl sits on the FNB East Rand Advisory Board, as well as the Boards of SAIL, Flook Sport and Travel, Randgo Rewards, SA Golf Development Board and MoreCorp. In 2010, Darryl won the ABSA Jewish Businessman of the Year for non-listed companies.


Andrew Miller

Chief Financial Officer
Andrew joined the Group as a Financial Manager to The Pro Shop in November 2009 and was promoted to Group Chief Financial Officer in March 2011. Prior to joining the Group, Andrew worked with KPMG Johannesburg for eight years, spending two of those years in the USA, working in the Dallas practice. Andrew obtained his CA(SA) qualification in 2002.


Anton Jankowitz

CEO: MoreDigital
Anton Joined MoreCorp in 2005 to start playmoregolf. Currently, he looks after MoreCorp’s online, ecommerce, digital and media initiatives. Notable new additions to this stable include Flook Sport and Travel, Randgo Rewards and Electronicline. Prior to joining MoreCorp, Anton was at Naspers for six years where he headed up the online publishing of educational and professional content. Media has always been a passion, having spent time reading, writing and editing news and sport at Primedia’s Radio 702 after graduating. Anton sits on the boards of MoreGolf, Flook Sport and Travel and Randgo Rewards. He has a BA Honours degree in Journalism from Stellenbosch University and an MBA cum laude from the University of West London.


Daniel Egdes

CEO: Membership
Daniel joined MoreCorp in 2009, seconded to MoreCorp’s Rewards business, as Business Development Manager. This followed a spell managing MoreGolf’s Customer Engagement and Retention Division. This broad understanding of the golf business enabled a smooth transition to General Manager of the playmoregolf division in 2013, where he successfully grew the business until 2015. At this time Daniel was appointed Managing Executive of MoreCorp’s Leisure Parks, including the World of Golf, Golf Villages and Cycle Lab Bike Park. As of 2019 Daniel heads up all of MoreCorp's membership initiatives. Daniel has a BCom Honours (Marketing) from UNISA.


Douglas (O’B) Barber

Managing Executive: MoreGolf
O’B joined MoreCorp in 2015 and manages playmoregolf, lastminutegolf and GolfTimeSA. Prior to joining MoreCorp, he owned Marketing and Promotions Business in Cape Town for 20 years. O’B launched and owned two brands of clothing in the SA golf market, namely Bunker Boy and Swagg Clothing. He also launched Tommy Hilfiger into the SA golf market. Steeped in the golf industry, O’B enjoyed time as General Manager of Tamarina Golf Estate and Beach Club in Mauritius for five years and Mowbray GC in Cape Town for two years. O’B studied at the University of Cape Town and University of Miami (B Comm and Bus Administration).


Mercia Swanepoel

Head of Human Resources
Mercia joined The Pro Shop as PA to the directors in October 1995. As the group grew, she started the HR department for the group in 2002. She developed the full spectrum of HR functions within the department, to the required business, as well as national standards and practices. She has a BCom Honours (Industrial and Organisational Psychology) from UNISA, has attended various courses in Labour Relations Management and Advanced Programme in HR Management. She is a member of the SA Board for People Practices as Chartered HR Professional.


Andrew McLean

Cycle Lab
Andrew started the Cycle Lab in 1995 and also pioneered the Cycle Lab Bike Park and FitTrack. Andrew has a long and distinguished list of cycling accomplishments. This includes Springbok colours in 1988, winner of gold, silver and bronze medals at various World Champs. Andrew is a multiple winner in various categories of the Telkom 94.7 and Cape Argus Cycle Tour. He also boasts three wins of the ABSA Cape Epic, collecting 25 stage wins along the way!
